(2014-2015) A celebrity barber, college graduate and real estate agent, all who are African American share their experiences with New York City police officers in the 5 boroughs. The men ranging in age from 23 to 38, recall the details of the not so pleasant times they were apprehended, stopped and questioned by the police. Celebrity barber “J-Boogie”, the oldest of the 3 gentlemen, shares the worst experience riding in the back of a police van traveling over 80 mph. The incident ultimately caused him to miss days at work resulting in a loss of income. Although he’s had several encounters with the police which have gone awry, "J-Boogie" admits the police do have a tough job to do. He makes a good point chalking it up as “A Gift and A Curse”.
